For the first time in my life, I’m trying to really mix all the parts of me that, according to just me, they shouldn’t be there for some reason, just because we don’t like them, or simply because the don’t fit with another parts that you actually like. Well, we believe that they don’t fit, but OH GOD they do fit perfectly fine. They are harmonious, they are made for each other, they are composed in a so singular way that it is impossible for it to not be that way.

Trying to reflect that on an image, my first thought was to mix my face with an energy that is guiding me since I remember, which is the feline one, lions mostly. This is an energy that I have been avoiding for a long time (words for another subject that we can discuss anytime if you’re interested on my pov!), and finally watch my face embraced by that feeling has been very very healing for me.

Another aspect to point is the left part compo, where you can see clearly signs of nordic culture that, although I’m not from the north, or even been there, I truly feel them in me, in some way.

These two are the main theme of this specific image, but maybe if I decide to repeat the process of represent a current integration of myself on an image 2 years from now again, I’m pretty sure that the results will be different. This is me now. And we are differents me’s in each and every now.

That’s why after the first mix (face&panther), instinctively wanted to represent the different seasons, which can represent perfectly fine the rest of the me that is not on the main themes. In the final mix, we can see a changing idea, the passing of time, how the self, even “believing” that we know ourselves, deeply knows that it will always be constantly changing.

The process of integration is endless. Don’t let any part of you out of the entire precious and unique being that makes you to be YOU.
